The contract was executed by HŽ Infrastruktura COB Renata Suša and representatives of the Croatian consortium Tomislav Debeljak (DIV), Alen Čović (Zagreb-Montaža) and Alen Premužak (Dalekovod).

Let me also thank our partners and subcontractors who have invested a lot of energy and effort into enabling us to make our bid competitive, financial institutions that have stood by us and trusted in our ability to complete this project in a successful and timely manner and also everyone who in any way helped with the preparation of this project. We are all eager to start the works and are looking forward to their timely completion,' emphasized COB of Dalekovod d.d. Alen Premužak on the occasion of contract execution.

The activities planned within the scope of the project, in addition to the existing section upgrade, include the construction of the second track along the entire 38.2 km of the railway section. That also includes six overpasses, two of which are road routes, and reconstruction of the existing seven bridges, removal of 17 level crossings and two pedestrian crossings and the construction of 11 new overpasses, one underpass and six pedestrian underpasses, the construction of electric traction power systems, modernisation of railway signalling and safety systems and telecommunications equipment and the construction of 25 km of service roads.
The commencement of construction and reconstruction of the Dugo Selo - Križevci railway is planned for the summer of 2016, and the completion is planned during the first half of 2020.
