David Jones Limited (DJS) today announced it has entered into department store exclusive agreements with a vast array of new international and Australian bridal designers, significantly broadening the range of brands available at the David Jones Bridal Suite.
Bridal at David Jones will introduce internationally acclaimed bridal ranges from Monique Lhuillier, Bliss by Monique Lhuillier and Temperley Bridal to its already impressive portfolio of international bridal designers, which includes Carolina Herrera, Lanvin, Oscar de la Renta and Roland Mouret.
Eponymous bridal designer Monique Lhuillier, known for capturing the essence of sophisticated luxury, will launch her designs at David Jones from August 2014. Bliss by Monique Lhuillier, known for its classically feminine, yet modern lines and appeal to a broader group of women will be available from September 2014.
From September 2014, Bridal at David Jones will also launch Temperley Bridal by British designer Alice Temperley. With a design signature that has made Alice Temperley one of the most distinctive designers in contemporary British fashion, Temperley Bridal offers a range of elegant and sophisticated wedding gowns.
For the first time, Australian designer brands Camilla and Ellery will launch bridal ranges to be stocked on a department store exclusive basis at David Jones in September and October 2014.
These brands will join the David Jones stable of exclusive Australian bridal designers including Karen Willis Holmes, Lisa Gowing, Johanna Johnson, Mariana Hardwick, Rachel Gilbert, Steven Khalil, Akira Isogawa.
David Jones General Manager Womenswear, Sophie Clark said, "Since its launch in February 2012, Bridal at David Jones has been a great success and as a result of its popularity we are able to continue to expand on our offering each season.
Our bridal designer business has grown by 40% over the two-year period from FY12 to FY13 and we continue to see real opportunities for growth in this sector.
The David Jones Bridal Suite offers Australia's broadest range of international and Australian designer bridal wear in one location. We are confident that our customers will continue to respond extremely well to our growing portfolio of designers," Ms Clark concluded.
David Jones also announced that from May 2014 its Bridal Suite is now open for viewing during trading hours and can be accessed On Seven via the customer lifts. Complete with David Jones' signature service and attention to detail, including an on-site tailor, Bridal at David Jones also continues to offer customers individual one on one appointments with David Jones' style and couture experts.
