De La Rue plc (De La Rue or the 'Company') today announces the appointment of Nick Bray as a Non-executive Director of the Company. The appointment will take effect immediately following the Company's AGM on 21 July 2016.

Nick has extensive international experience in the technology and information security industries and for the last five years has been Chief Financial Officer of security software firm Sophos Group plc. Before joining Sophos, Nick was Chief Financial Officer at Micro Focus International plc, Fibernet Group plc, and Gentia Software plc. Prior to that, he held various senior financial positions at Comshare Inc. and Lotus Software.

Nick will succeed Victoria Jarman as Chair of the Audit Committee when, as previously announced, Victoria steps down as a Non-executive Director and Chair of the Audit Committee at the Company's AGM on 21 July 2016.

There are no further disclosures required under Listing Rule 9.6.13 in respect of Nick Bray.
