Dell Technologies and the PGA TOUR are pleased to announce the New England-based charities that will benefit from the Dell Technologies Championship's overall charitable contributions: Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston, Boys & Girls Clubs of Dorchester and MassGeneral Hospital for Children. TPC Boston will be hosting top golfers from around the world at the Dell Technologies Championship in Norton, Mass., from Aug. 30 to Sept. 4, 2017.

Dell made a long-term commitment to society, employees and the environment through its Legacy of Good plan, which recognizes the company's key corporate social responsibility efforts. As such, Dell Technologies is dedicated to using the charitable proceeds from the tournament to encourage improved health, wellness, and academic achievement that will have a measurable and lasting impact on the community.

The Dell Technologies Championship was originally introduced in 2003 as the PGA TOUR returned to the Boston market for the first time since the 1998 New England Classic. With the introduction of the FedExCup in 2007, the tournament was elevated to its current position as the second FedExCup Playoffs event. Since its inception, Dell Technologies Championship has generated over $27 million for local and national charities. This is the first year that Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston, Boys & Girls Clubs of Dorchester and MassGeneral Hospital for Children have been named charity partners of the tournament.

Recognized as an organization that can drive better outcomes for its community, Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston (BGCB), has been named the official charity partner of the tournament. BGCB provides a fun, safe and affordable place for nearly 16,000 young people to go when they are not in school. Its staff of caring youth development professionals serve as positive role models and deliver thoughtfully designed programs and activities to help members achieve academic success, live healthy lifestyles, build character and practice good citizenship.

Additionally, the Dell Technologies Championship has announced Boys & Girls Clubs of Dorchester (BGCD) as its community charity partner, because of its growing influence on the large and diverse neighborhood it serves. Boys & Girls Clubs of Dorchester inspires and enables all young people, from diverse circumstances, to realize their full potential by providing opportunities for personal growth to become contributing, caring and responsible members of the community. The charitable proceeds from the event will go to BGCD's programming that supports thousands of children with a focus on kindergarten readiness, literacy, STEM and creativity.

The tournament also named MassGeneral Hospital for Children (MGHfC) as the official charity partner for "Arnie's March Boston," a noncompetitive 5K walk to honor Arnold Palmer, the original designer of TPC Boston. 100% of the proceeds raised for the walk will benefit the hospital's pediatric cancer center, which is dedicated to providing outstanding personalized, developmentally appropriate care for infants, children and adolescents within the context of their family and community. MGHfC is home to the only proton beam radiation facility in New England, which gives children with cancerous brain tumors, eye tumors and other illnesses access to groundbreaking, state-of-the-art therapy. Attleboro YMCA: The Attleboro YMCA is a charitable organization dedicated to the physical, mental and spiritual development of all. It fosters personal growth through quality programs and services provided in a positive environment by committed staff and volunteers. Golf Fights Cancer: Golf Fights Cancer (GFC) is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that taps into the passion and generosity of all golfers to raise much needed funds for cancer related organizations and families living with the disease. Specifically, GFC makes targeted donations for equipment, services, and/or amenities that make an immediate positive impact on treatment and the experience for both the patient and family.

Hockomock Area YMCA: The Hockomock Area YMCA is a nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening the foundations of community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.

Massachusetts Golf Association: The MGA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that is dedicated to promoting and preserving amateur golf in the Commonwealth. Since it was founded in 1903, the organization has enjoyed a growth from 42 to 360+ member clubs, two to 12 Championships and from 1,000 to more than 87,000 member golfers.

Ouimet Scholarship Fund: The Ouimet Fund's purpose is to help deserving young men and women who have worked at golf courses in Massachusetts obtain a college education. It provides need-based undergraduate scholarships which are renewable and can be worth up to $10,000 - $40,000 (or more) for four years. The Ouimet Fund is the largest independent scholarship fund in New England.
