Delta Air Lines : Barcelona to Atlanta service returns from June 2015

BARCELONA, November 24, 2014 - Delta Air Lines (NYSE: DAL) will once again be offering nonstop daily flights between Barcelona-El Prat International Airport and Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport for the 2015 summer season.

Starting June 2, 2015, the U.S. airline has scheduled an Airbus A330-300 aircraft with 292 seats on the route, which is operated in conjunction with Delta's joint venture partners Air France-KLM and Alitalia.

"Data from the World Travel & Tourism Council shows that the direct contribution of travel and tourism to Spain's GDP will grow 1.8 percent a year to 2024," said Perry Cantarutti, Delta's senior vice president for Europe, Middle East and Africa. "Delta is proud to play its role in this growth as we continue to facilitate tourism and business traffic between the U.S. and Spain through our flights to Barcelona, Madrid and Malaga."

Delta's Barcelona to Atlanta schedule is as follows:

Delta's Barcelona services feature fully flat-bed seats with direct aisle access in a 1x2x1 configuration in the BusinessElite cabin. Customers flying in Economy Comfort, Delta's premium economy service, benefit from up to four additional inches of legroom and 50 percent more recline than Delta's standard international Economy class seats, as well as priority boarding. Other product initiatives being rolled out across Delta's international fleet include the expansion of Wi-Fi service by the end of 2016.
