The leading Latino organization recognized Delta's commitment to the community and contribution to Latino college success

ATLANTA, April 24, 2014 - Delta Air Lines (NYSE: DAL) has been awarded the "Corporate Leadership Award" by the Hispanic Federation, one of the leading Latino organizations in the United States. As part of its mission of "Inspiring a New Generation," the Federation decided to dedicate this year to honoring community leaders, media celebrities and corporate elites that have demonstrated outstanding support for programs and services for the Latino community.

"It's a great honor for Delta to be recognized by the Hispanic Federation. No matter how much we do for others, there is always more we want to do in service of our Latino communities," said Nicolas Ferri, Delta's vice president for Latin America and the Caribbean. "We want to continue to support our legacy of cultural diversity, and to keep demonstrating that when we work with honesty, integrity and respect, success is easier to reach."

Delta has supported the Hispanic Federation's efforts since 2012, and this year the Federation recognized the airline's outstanding support of its Crear Futuros program, a youth educational initiative focused specifically on increasing college acceptance, retention, and graduation rates for Latino students in New York.

"I am filled with pride and gratitude in the face of the extraordinary support of friends like Delta, who honor the Federation's 24-year history of service and inspire us to continue improving the lives of the people we serve," said Jose Calderon, president of the Hispanic Federation.
