Delta Galil : awarded Platinum Rating by Maala

We are proud to announce that Delta Galil has received Platinum rating by Maala index for 2016! As a global company with centers and thousands of employees around the world, it is important to us to participate in local and global CSR forums. In Israel, Delta is part of the Maala network.

Maala is an Israel based organization promoting corporate responsibility, it is part of a global network of organizations promoting CSR around the globe including the UN Global Compact and the Global Reporting Initiative. Each year Maala ranks over 200 companies according to their commitment to CSR principles in six major areas: environment, business ethics, human rights and work environment, community involvement, corporate governance and social and environmental reporting. The Index is prepared in partnership with McKinsey & Company, Ernst & Young, S&P Maalot, the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange and Greeneye.

Delta Galil has been a partner of Maala since 2006, and for 2016 received a Platinum rating. The report includes a rating breakdown of each parameter separately, each is given a grade and a comparison to previous years. Also, each parameter is compared to the average score across all participating companies. The Delta Galil score has been improving steadily each year, in accordance with our commitment to better practices and social responsibility. In addition, several scores are even much higher than the Maala average; areas like corporate governance, employee diversity and waste reduction.

Delta Galil is looking towards the future with the understanding that our actions today will have the most effect over the years to come. Our efforts in areas like waste management, energy conservation and supply chain continue in all our locations and centers around the world. They are as much a part of our every day operations as any other subject. We are very happy that our approach is being recognized and acknowledged by organizations like Maala, who are important partners on the road to a better world, for everyone.
