The board of directors of Delta Natural Gas Company, Inc. (NASDAQ:
DGAS), at a meeting held May 17, 2012, authorized a quarterly stock
dividend of seventeen and one-half cents ($.175) per share to be paid
June 15, 2012 to all common shareholders of record as of June 1, 2012.
The company distributed a 2 for 1 stock split on May 1, 2012. While this
quarterly dividend amount of $.175 per share is one half of the previous
quarterly dividend amount per share declared on February 17, 2012, it
applies to all the split shares, which are double the number of shares
that were outstanding prior to the May 1 stock split.
