Jul 04, 2016: DHL now delivers parcels at a scheduled time in the evening all over Germany

DHL Parcel is significantly expanding its time-window delivery service once again and is now offering it outside major urban centers. From now on, all recipients in Germany have the option of choosing an evening time slot for their deliveries, allowing them to decide exactly when they would like to receive their parcel. Regardless of whether they are in Emsland, Brandenburg or Spessart, online shoppers across Germany can now select a two-hour time window between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. for delivery of their DHL parcels during the order process.

No other parcel service provider in Germany offers a comparable range of services on this scale. 'As market leader in the German parcel-delivery business, it is our goal to offer our services in all regions of the country and, in doing so, to make people's lives easier. With the introduction of a nationwide evening delivery service, we are therefore setting new standards for the time-flexible receipt of parcels,' said Achim Dünnwald, CEO DHL Parcel.

With this renewed expansion of delivery services, DHL Parcel is providing an attractive offer to online retailers from different industries in order to match parcel shipments with the individual needs of customers even more closely. At the same time, retailers will be able to offer this service to recipients in all regions of Germany, reaching 44 million households across the country with a delivery in the evening. For the high-growth segment of online food retailing, for example, the option is especially interesting, since customers can have goods delivered at home so promptly at the end of the working day. However, retailers from industries such as fashion, electronics or pet supplies will also benefit. All ordered goods will reach their recipients nationwide at an agreed time in the evening.
