• New rates and hybrid router for faster surfing now available nationwide
  • Automatic bundling of fixed-line and mobile networks for faster surfing
  • Unlimited data volume and performance gain without extra costs

Today, Deutsche Telekom is launching the nationwide campaign for its new "MagentaZuhause" (MagentaHome) Hybrid rates and its new "Speedport Hybrid" router. The new rates, together with the new router, instantly enable faster surfing at home. To boost speeds, the hybrid router combines the transmission rates of the fixed-line and mobile networks. Customers in areas with low fixed-line network speeds can especially benefit from the hybrid technology.

The new MagentaZuhause Hybrid line combines the strengths of the DSL/VDSL fixed network and the LTE mobile network. While in use, the "Speedport Hybrid" device first uses the DSL/VDSL line, which has a more stable speed. If the fixed-network line becomes overloaded, the hybrid router automatically activates the fast LTE mobile network as well. As a result, even customers with low broadband speeds can gain a significant boost, for example, to watch online video without long buffering times.

MagentaZuhause Hybrid gives customers better performance for the same price. MagentaZuhause Hybrid is part of the new Magenta portfolio and is available in S, M and L rate packages.

The price level of the new rates is based on the MagentaZuhause portfolio, including current promotional prices, which also apply to new broadband customers in Germany who order a MagentaZuhause Hybrid package by December 31, 2015.

MagentaZuhause S Hybrid is available from EUR 29.95/month and speeds up a fixed-network line of up to 16 Mbit/s with an additional hybrid turbo up to another 16 Mbit/s. MagentaZuhause M Hybrid is available from EUR 34.95/month and combines a fixed-network line of up to 50 Mbit/s with an additional hybrid turbo up to another 50 Mbit/s. Maximum performance is available in the MagentaZuhause L Hybrid package, from EUR 39.95/month, which combines a fixed-network line of up to 100 Mbit/s with an additional hybrid turbo up to 100 Mbit/s. Individual bandwidth is subject to fixed-network and LTE availability and dependent on the respective signal strength.

Data volume is unlimited in all MagentaZuhause Hybrid rates. Requirements to use MagentaZuhause Hybrid are an IP-enabled fixed-network line, LTE availability and a hybrid-enabled router.

Deutsche Telekom recommends the "Speedport Hybrid" in a device service package for EUR 9.95/month. The minimum contract term for MagentaZuhause Hybrid is 24 months; the minimum term for the device service package is 12 months.

Customers can obtain detailed information about MagentaZuhause Hybrid at Telekom Shops and from local retailers across Germany, under freecall 0800 33 03000 and online at www.telekom.de /hybrid.
MagentaZuhause Hybrid has been available in the West, North and Northeast regions since November 2014.
