Deutsche Telekom AG (>> Deutsche Telekom AG) expects to come to an agreement to cooperate with German pay-TV broadcaster Sky Deutschland AG (>> Sky Deutschland AG) on broadcasting Bundesliga soccer games, German newspaper Tagesspiegel says in a preview ahead of Monday's release.
"We are in negotiations," Niek Jan van Damme, Deutsche Telekom's Board member for Germany, is quoted as saying. "But Sky has paid so much for the rights, that we assume they want to recoup part of the money," he adds.
Nevertheless, van Damme considers Deutsche Telekom's television service "Entertain" completely attractive also without Bundesliga soccer games.
