• Internet Protect Pro protects against threats from the Internet
  • Even recognizes unknown malware
  • Solution allows users to keep pace with complex web threats

Gone are the days when a company's IT system stopped at the front door. Data travel the world online, and communication channels are at risk of slipping out of companies' control. The cyber criminals at the other end are becoming ever more professional, and this new environment is placing increasingly complex demands on security. Today's launch of Internet Protect Pro marks the addition of a strong cyber protection solution for enterprises to Deutsche Telekom's portfolio with immediate effect.

The solution is provided in conjunction with partner Zscaler and comes as a service from the cloud. It offers a comprehensive level of protection against threats from the web that was previously only possible using complicated, expensive on-site solutions. Internet Protect Pro brings together security applications that deliver URL filtering, virus protection, malware protection, content-based checks and threat analysis, as well as protection against unknown malware using a sandbox to execute potentially harmful files in a controlled environment to identify malicious code.

'Internet Protect Pro frees up companies in two ways: First of all, they don't need to install as much hardware on-site. Secondly, we free up time for them. The solution makes security so easy that people will actually use it,' says Ferri Abolhassan, Head of Telekom Security.

Internet Protect Pro shifts the focus from the corporate environment to the network. The solution sits between the customer's IT systems and the Internet, from where it monitors all data transmitted to and from the Internet - including encrypted and mobile communications if required. Data traffic is filtered through a multi-layer security concept.

Internet Protect Pro also makes administration easy. A single management console delivers complete transparency with respect to potential threats and user behavior, including a real-time reporting function across all sites and devices. In addition, the central dashboard can be used to implement precise controls directly and company-wide. This not only minimizes online risks, but also allows bandwidth to be made available more efficiently and thus guarantees the maximum availability and performance of business-critical applications.

The solution also has another advantage: If new malware is identified by one of partner company Zscaler's over 5,000 customers, the parameters are updated immediately to protect all users across the entire network. As a result, users themselves benefit from Internet Protect Pro's adaptive system and are always fully up to date with their protection.

Internet Protect Pro is aimed chiefly at small and medium-sized businesses and can be ordered from the Telekom Cloud: https://cloud.telekom.de/magenta-security/Internet-protect-pro
The solution starts from 4.95 euros per user per month. In addition to the versions available direct from the Telekom Cloud, custom project solutions can be prepared jointly with customers for systems with more than 100 users or to meet special requirements, such as specific performance features.
