EXPLORATION UPDATE GLENTHOMPSON COPPER PROJECT Following recent technical studies conducted by the Victorian Geological Survey into the Mount Stavely Belt, Diatreme Resources Limited (ASX:DRX) secured an exploration licence application in an area that is now highly regarded as a "fertile" Andean-style magmatic arc system, prospective for porphyry copper deposits. Located in western Victoria (Figure 1), Exploration Licence 5478 has now been granted to the Company within this newly recognised porphyry belt. The licence has good geophysical drill targets under shallow overburden cover along with 30km of non-explored strike length with easy access.Figure 1: Location of EL5478 (Glenthompson), western Victoria.

DIATREME RESOURCES LIMITED
The Victorian Government recently granted the Glenthompson exploration licence (EL5478) to Chalcophile Resources Pty Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Diatreme Resources Limited, for a term of five (5) years. The tenement is located in western Victoria within the highly prospective Mount Stavely Belt, now highly regarded by the Victorian Geological Survey as a "fertile" Andean- style magmatic arc system, prospective for porphyry copper deposits. A number of explorers have already discovered porphyry copper deposits within this belt and the Company's tenement sits within the centre of this belt. The "Eclipse" and "Lexington" prospects held by Navarre Minerals Limited and "Thursdays Gossan"
held by Northern Platinum Pty Ltd (previously by BCD Resources NL) are examples of what have been discovered to date in the immediate area.
The area of interest is part of the Mount Stavely Volcanic Complex within the Grampians-Stavely structural zone in western Victoria. The Mount Stavely Volcanics are a fault bound sequence of Cambrian andesitic to rhyolitic lavas and volcaniclastic rocks and plugs of tonalite, which are either interbedded with, or faulted against, the quartz turbidites of the Glenthompson Sandstone.
It is expected that outcrop over the tenement is very limited. Therefore, drilling will be directed by geophysics in the search for porphyry styles of mineralisation (Figure 2). With the granting of the tenement, ground preparations are scheduled for late September to secure access for drilling to commence using the Company's drill rig later in the year, when weather and ground conditions are more favourable.
