Many applications of these innovations have been developed, culminating in the Digimarc Discover and Digimarc Barcode software and services platform. The Company, and its business partners, have developed numerous solutions that improve copyright protection and licensing, facilitate audience measurement, and enhance consumer media experiences.

"The Academy is pleased to highlight Digimarc's role in developing and deploying digital watermarking techniques, and the company's continuing contributions to advancing the technical possibilities for the art and science of television," said Robert P. Seidel, Chairman of the Technology & Engineering Committee, NATAS. "Digimarc's technology has materially impacted the business of television through the tracking, tracing and monetization of broadcast and cable content."

"The receipt of this prestigious Emmy® Award is a testimony to the extraordinary achievements of our scientists, engineers, and business partners," said Bruce Davis, Chairman and CEO, Digimarc. "Digimarc has a deep heritage of developing industry-advancing technologies, resulting in over 800 patents covering a broad range of inventions in digital watermarking and content identification."

The Company's inventions enhance the value and management of all forms of media. Notable recent innovations focus on automatic identification by smartphones of all brand impressions in the modern shopper's journey. These capabilities include providing television audiences with interactive advertising and other 'second screen' viewing experiences.

The Emmy® will be formally presented to Digimarc during the 67th Annual Technology & Engineering Emmy® Awards banquet at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas on Friday, January, 8, 2016 during the popular International Consumer Electronics Show (CES).
