digitalBTC Further Reduces Operating Costs and Expands Capacity
Emerging digital payments company Digital CC Limited (trading as digitalBTC) (ASX: DCC) (the "Company" or "digitalBTC") is pleased to announce the signing of a new contract with leading data centre provider Verne Global, alongside the purchase of additional processing hardware from Spondoolies Tech.
The company's imminent launch of its digital X Mintsy product, designed for the professional segment of the digital currency market, will also see digitalBTC being able to on-sell significant processing capacity.
Although the Company's focus is on the development of digitalX Pocket and other FinTech software based on digital currencies, the decision to expand processing capacity and take up a new contract will see digitalBTC reduce its power costs by approximately 20% across half of the Company's power commitment. The additional hardware will expand the Company's processing capacity by approximately 40%, for a small outlay of approximately $US700,000.
digitalBTC's Executive Chairman, Zhenya Tsvetnenko, said that the new power contract reflected the intense efforts the Company had made in reducing operating costs and increasing efficiencies in transaction processing operations.
