Viacom Is Said to be Getting More Than $600 Million a Year from DirecTV -Bloomberg TV

Viacom Inc. (VIA, VIAB) is to receive more than $600 million a year in programming fees under a new seven-year agreement struck with DirecTV Group Inc. (>> DIRECTV), Bloomberg News reported Friday on its website, citing a person with direct knowledge of the matter.

The two companies earlier Friday announced a deal to restore Viacom channels on DirectTV's satellite systems, but didn't disclose financial terms.

Spokesmen for the two companies declined comment to Bloomberg.
