Los Angeles andSan Francisco - Discovery Communications announces today that veteran content and marketing executive Suzanne Kolb has been named Executive Vice President & General Manager, Discovery Digital Networks. Effective immediately, Kolb will oversee the company's award-winning portfolio of 70+ web-native brands and series, original digital development, Discovery VR and social partnerships.

Under her leadership, E! evolved to a more topical, trendsetting destination, with year-round original programming in more than 160 countries and a thriving digital presence. While at E!, Kolb launched hit franchises Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Chelsea Lately, Botched and Total Divas and greenlit the network's first original scripted series, The Royals. Kolb joined E! in 2005 as Senior Vice President, Marketing for E! Networks, was subsequently elevated to Chief Marketing Officer for E! & Style and General Manager of E! Online and later became President of Marketing, News and Online for E! and The Style Network.

Earlier in her career, Kolb served as Executive Vice President of Marketing at The WB Television Network. During her time at The WB, she developed groundbreaking marketing campaigns and advertising partnerships for signature series such as Dawson's Creek, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Smallville, Gilmore Girls and Pokémon. Kolb started her career in New York at Grey Entertainment as an account and creative executive.

She will split her time between Discovery's Los Angeles and San Francisco offices.
