Toyota and Discovery VR Will Take Viewers to Distant Locations on All Seven Continents and Explore Unique Cultures Through Remarkable Local Stories

New York - Discovery Communications announced today that Toyota is partnering with Discovery VR and Google's VR team to present 'Discovery TRVLR,' an ambitious and groundbreaking new virtual reality series. The 38-episode series will launch on Friday, November 3 exclusively on YouTube and DiscoveryVR.com and on the Discovery VR app. It can be experienced in VR with Google's new Daydream View headset as well as with Cardboard. Discovery TRVLR will also be available through the web, Android and iOS phones.

Through 'Discovery TRVLR,' Discovery VR and Toyota will take viewers out of their living rooms and bring them to every corner of the globe across all seven continents. Exploring unique cultures through a visceral 360-degree storytelling experience, 'Discovery TRVLR' brings to life the mind-blowing rituals, obscure traditions and life-threatening quests that define a variety of cultures in North America, South America, Asia, Australia, Africa, Antarctica and Europe.
