Doha Bank to host a Knowledge Sharing Session for SME Sector
Doha Bank will be hosting a Knowledge Sharing Session event under the theme "Empowering SMEs" on 8th September 2014 at 1st Floor Auditorium, Doha Bank Tower, West Bay, Doha, Qatar. Key industry players, experienced Bankers, Government representatives and Business professionals will be participating in this event.
SMEs play a critical role in innovation, advancement and sustainable development worldwide. Countries which intend to strengthen their competitiveness will have to strengthen their capabilities, detail policies and support programmes that are necessary for strengthening productive capacity at the enterprise level, particularly that of SMEs. SMEs also provides employment opportunities.
SMEs are expected to play an important role in supporting Qatar's diversification and hence various initiatives are proposed by Government bodies and Financial Institutions to stimulate them. The event will focus on the current trends in SME sector and the initiatives to empower them, thereby improving their contribution to Qatar economy.
