Huayi Brothers to Elevate Moviegoing Experience with Dolby Atmos
Beijing, January 23, 2013-Dolby Laboratories, Inc. (NYSE:DLB) today announced that it will collaborate with Huayi Brothers Media Co. to bring the Dolby® Atmos™ sound experience to moviegoers across China and beyond. Dolby Atmos is a new audio platform that revolutionizes the experience of sound in entertainment. The collaboration between Dolby and Huayi Brothers is helping to bring a truly lifelike audio experience to movie theatres in China and abroad.
In 2012, Huayi Brothers released two blockbuster titles in Dolby Atmos, including Feng Xiaogang's Back to 1942 (released on November 29), the first Chinese film produced in Dolby Atmos, and Jackie Chan's CZ12 (released in China on December 20). In 2013, Huayi Brothers plans to release additional titles in Dolby Atmos, starting with the Spring Festival release of Journey to the West (China release date: February 10).

In 2013, four Hollywood titles, including Gravity and Pacific Rim (Warner Bros.), Star Trek into Darkness (Paramount Pictures), and A Good Day to Die Hard (Twentieth Century Fox) are scheduled to receive the Dolby Atmos treatment, with additional studio titles to follow. European productions Lost Place, Mama, and Trance have been released or are scheduled to be mixed in Dolby Atmos.
