WASHINGTON, D.C - 12/04/2015

The Dow Chemical Company commends the U.S. Congress for passing the Fixing America's Surface Transportation (FAST) Act, authorizing highway funding for five years and reauthorizing the U.S. Export-Import (Ex-Im) Bank through Sept. 30, 2019. This important piece of legislation will provide long-term funding to meet the growing needs of the U.S. transportation infrastructure system and help to create a more level playing field for U.S. exporters.

'Congress took a much needed step forward to enhancing and improving the global competitiveness of U.S. manufacturers,' said Andrew N. Liveris, Dow's chairman and chief executive officer. 'The multiyear reauthorizations of highway funding and Ex-Im will provide certainty and support the projects and the manufacturers like Dow that create American jobs and drive economic growth.'

We applaud Congress on their action and look forward to the President signing this critically important legislation as soon as possible.
