Need-based rental of safety technology

Dräger Rental Service for safety equipment

Lübeck - For many industrial companies, today's cost pressure means a balancing act between economic interests and their employees' safety. This becomes apparent in particular if they require additional safety equipment for an order or everyday operations on a temporary basis. Such bottlenecks may arise due to repairs, cleaning or maintenance that is performed infrequently. For these situations, Dräger offers a rental service for high-quality safety technology. Consequently, companies have an economical alternative to buying additional equipment. It also covers services such as maintenance and calibration.

Companies normally calculate costs according to the principle ›As much as necessary and as little as possible‹. Excess capacities are expensive, shortages, on the other hand, jeopardize not only productivity, but also the workers' health and the safety of the operation and the employees. To be prepared for bottlenecks, many companies procure a stock of spare gas detection technology or protective equipment. However, this is not always the best approach. Even a gas detector that is only used once or twice a year must be serviced and calibrated regularly. This means that apart from the initial acquisition costs, there will be running operating costs. In this case, a rental model can make economic sense.

Save almost 50 % with the Dräger rental service

A practical example: For projects or everyday operation, 15 additional Dräger type X-am 5000 mobile gas detectors are required several times a year (see fig. 1). A comparison of the costs for increasing an existing inventory to 35 devices with the rental costs of the Dräger Rental Basic Service over a period of three years, taking into account the total cost of ownership, shows: The rental solution is almost 50 % cheaper (see fig. 2).

Three packages are available

The Dräger Rental Service, certified according to DIN ISO 9001/ DIN ISO 14001 and SCC/VCA offers three different types of contracts: With the Basic package, the customer receives devices that are ready for immediate use.

Rental Advanced additionally covers any maintenance, calibration, and repair
