From 4 to 8 May, the 15th International Trade Fair for Logistics, Mobility, IT and Supply Chain Management in Munich opened its doors to more than 55,000 visitors from 124 countries; and 2,050 exhibitors from 62 countries showcased the world of logistics on the Messe München exhibition site.

It is the biggest event in the transport and logistics sector: All the great players are there, and so are all the big customers by the way. So, of course, DSV was there too, for the second time, with an impressive stand that once again stood out among the more conventional stands and attracted a lot of attention from visitors.

At the 2013 fair, the stand won "Best Marketing Concept."

The German Federal Minister of Transport Alexander Dobrindt passes by the DSV stand.

More than 2,000 visitors in 5 days

The fair is held annually - biannually in Munich, and biannually in Shanghai. When in Munich, DSV Germany organizes DSV's presence at the fair. Up to 40 DSV employees man the stand every day - working to increase awareness of DSV and related products as well as meeting with customers and liaising with partners.

The DSV stand spans 220 m2 and distinguishes itself from the rest with its unique beach bar theme - complete with real sand, grass, wooden floors, beach style furniture and a beach hut. The concept is meant to express our identity as a modern, Danish-built business combined with a relaxed, approachable and personal style in customer relations.

A record of approximately 2,000 visitors came to the DSV stand this year.

Transport Logistic is a great opportunity to meet with customers and have a relaxed talk about business and others things,

Tom Zwicker, Marketing Manager, DSV Germany, says and adds:

With the rigorous implementation of our marketing concept, we wanted to approach customers on an emotional level - and it worked. The great thing about fairs is that you get immediate feedback from customers, and they were impressed not only by the design but also by the products and services we offer.
