Lansing - DTE Energy today announced two changes in government affairs and regulatory leadership.

Jim Padgett was named director, State Government Affairs for the company, succeeding Renze Hoeksema, who was promoted to vice president, Government Affairs upon Fred Shell's retirement earlier this month. Padgett formerly served as director, Regulatory Affairs. In his new role, Padgett will manage DTE's Lansing office and continue working with Michigan's governmental leaders on policy and other important company issues. Padgett will report to Hoeksema.

'With Jim's experience, relationships and knowledge, he will be able to hit the ground running in his new role,' Hoeksema said. 'As we continue important work at a critical time in Lansing - including work to secure Michigan's energy future for our customers and for all Michiganders - Jim's expertise will be helpful with this work.'

Adella Crozier will succeed Jim Padgett as director, Regulatory Affairs for DTE Electric. Crozier held the role of manager, Regulatory Affairs, and will be responsible for the company's overall regulatory strategy, and will work closely with state, regional and federal regulators to achieve favorable outcomes for DTE Electric customers. Crozier will report to Don Stanczak, vice president, Regulatory Affairs.

'We are, and continue to be focused on providing our customers with safe, affordable, and reliable energy,' Stanczak added. 'Our work with all of our regulatory partners - local, state and federal -- will play a critical role in achieving the best outcomes for the company and our customers. Adella's leadership to drive this company's overall strategy will be critical to meet these outcomes today and into the future.'

Both positions are effective as of June 27.
