DETROIT, Oct. 25, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- DTE Energy is issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) for evaluation, measurement and verification (EM&V) services for its energy efficiency programs.

DTE Energy is seeking bids for qualified EM&V vendors to provide services for the residential and commercial portfolio of energy efficiency programs offered by its Michigan electric and gas utilities, Detroit Edison and MichCon, respectively.

All parties interested in receiving more information about the RFP should send their contact information, referencing the EM&V RFP to ENERGYOP@dteenergy.com no later than Friday, October 28, 2011.

The company is looking for a consultant to provide ongoing, independent EM&V services as part of its overall energy efficiency program for the years 2012-2015. Services to be provided include independent impact evaluations, process evaluations, ongoing consulting on EM&V issues, support DTE Energy's participation in statewide energy efficiency collaborative and other EM&V projects necessary to support DTE Energy's energy efficiency programs.

The successful service provider must have extensive experience and demonstrated abilities in all aspects of energy efficiency program design, implementation, monitoring, measurement, verification, valuation and energy efficiency program evaluation techniques, strategies and principles.
