The energy company DTEK together with the technological cluster Radar Tech have announced the launch of the Energy Accelerator project. This program is aimed at discovering, developing and supporting innovative projects in the energy and adjacent sectors. Application call for startups, specialized companies and scientific institutes will be open at radartech.com.ua/energy until September 4, 2018.

Preference will be given to projects presented with a proof of concept in eleven areas: coal production and coal bend, oil and gas, logistics, power generation and renewable power sources, distribution and clients, personnel, corporate responsibility and environmental protection, occupational health and safety.

The project's judging panel will select ten participants for a three-month training program including access to DTEK's resources and production facilities, mentoring from the company's key specialists, 250+ academic hours of theory and practice with the participation of more than thirty Ukrainian and international lecturers.

The project finalists will also have the opportunity to launch their projects commercially in partnership with DTEK.

'We are inviting startups that seek to provide solutions related to logistics, clients, personnel safety, and other issues in addition to energy. We are also ready for cooperation with construction design offices, institutes, experienced producing companies and inventors that can present projects complete with prototypes,' said Max Yakover, co-founder and director of Radar Tech. 'Corporate catalyst has advantages: we are providing training and live interaction with the top executives, making it possible to test your concept at a large facility, and most importantly offering a chance to conclude a big contract with the company - without charging anything for that.'

'The Ukrainian energy sector has entered the stage of reforming and integration into the European system. Over the next few years it must finish its transformation from the cumbersome post-Soviet industry into a high-tech competitive market. Being the leader in the Ukrainian energy development, DTEK is creating new projects in wind and solar power generation, energy services, and electric vehicle infrastructure. We are massively investing in new solutions in automation, digitalization and customer services. This joint project with Radar Tech continues our search for original ideas that would give new momentum to energy development and benefit people,' said Aleksandr Kucherenko, HR Director at DTEK.
