Homeware shop will be re-opened by mayor A homeware store which has closed for a major refurbishment will be re-opened by the Mayor of Sandwell next month.
Dunelm in Oldbury is undergoing a 14-week renovation, which will see it given a new layout and its in-store cafe updated. The mayor, Councillor Ahmadul Haque, will officially re-open the store, near the Birchley Island, on October 24. There will also be face painting and balloons and a free gift for the first 50 customers. Shop manager Kayleigh Davenport said: "We are looking forward to welcoming back the Oldbury community."
