DuPont Refinish Strengthens National Rule Basecoat Offering

Wilmington, Del., Jan. 9, 2012 - DuPont Refinish announces
the planned March 2012 introduction of two new products
designed to improve the coverage of traditionally poor
hiding solvent-borne basecoat colors.
While other refinish paint suppliers have been scaling back
support for their solvent-borne paint lines, DuPont
Refinish not only supports but continues to invest in our
solvent product portfolio. That is why we are proud to
announce the launch of DuPont™ ChromaPremier 62155F™ and
62165F™, a new binder package specifically designed to
improve the coverage of poor hiding colors. The improved
hiding binder package can be utilized with both our
ChromaPremier® and ChromaBase® basecoats. We have
reformulated several hundred of the worst hiding OEM colors
with an option to use the new binders. DuPont™ ColorNet®,
our color retrieval software, will automatically flag poor
hiding colors and provide the option to select the new,
improved hiding formula.
For collision shops in regulated or soon-to-be regulated
areas, or for shops that want the advantage that water
brings, we provide the unique, most productive product line
on the market today with DuPont™ Cromax® Pro. For customers
who do not plan on changing to waterborne in the near
future, we will continue to invest in our solvent products
to support and improve their business.
