Starting on 1 April 2016, Barbara Schädler (53) will be responsible for Communications & Political Affairs of E.ON SE. In this position, as Senior Vice President, she will succeed Guido Knott, who has taken on the role of Chairman of the Board of Directors of E.ON Kernkraft, future Preussen Elektra, as of 1 January 2016.

Barbara Schädler trained as an economist and comes to us from Deutschen Lufthansa AG where she lead and repositioned the communications department while successfully meeting demanding communication challenges. In the ´90s she served as spokesperson for the German Federal Ministry of Finance. Her background includes positions at RWE AG, Fujitsu Siemens and SAP AG.
