Cemex's stock responded well to the results and touched its new 52-week high price.

prospects in Europe but the improvement in construction segment in the U.S. is a good
sign. However, in order to control its losses, the company is taking steps to curtail its

company will keep running the plants. It is also planning to carry out job cuts in Spain.
Cemex stock is up 44 percent in the past 52 weeks and the company's cost-cutting plans
are expected to pay off in the near future.
