Eaton : Partners with electrical training ALLIANCE to Help Develop Next Generation of Electrical Professionals

The electrical training ALLIANCE (previously called NJATC) was created as a joint National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) organization to provide best in class curriculum for apprentice electricians. Today, the organization has provided curriculum and train-the-trainer instruction that has impacted over 350,000 apprentices to journeyman through local affiliated training centers.

Eaton's contributions and partnership with the electrical training ALLIANCE have enriched the electrical industry through training, safety and innovative solutions. Eaton offers many resources available to the Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committees (JATCs) and NECA contractors across the country.

For example, at the 2017 NECA Convention and Trade Show in Seattle, Eaton is providing electrical equipment specified in the Journey Level Craft Certification Booth. In order to complete Craft Certification Performance Evaluations, the JATC must have properly configured evaluation booths consisting of pre-installed equipment as well as tools and materials for the evaluation. For the event, Eaton is providing a service safety switch, transformer, circuit breaker and Bussmann™ series fused panelboards and fuse components, and combination motor starter, as well as Crouse-Hinds™ series electrical boxes and conduit fittings.

Further, electrical training ALLIANCE members can continue to leverage Eaton's Experience Centers for electrical education with the unique ability to experience hands-on training in multiple application environments.
