PITTSBURGH, PA
- Power management company Eaton has partnered with the electrical training ALLIANCE to provide the next generation of electrical industry professionals with educational resources, innovative solutions and expertise. Eaton's contributions to the organization aim to enrich the electrical industry through assistance in curriculum development, hands-on training and direct access to training programs and facilities.

The electrical training ALLIANCE (previously called NJATC) was created as a joint National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) organization to provide best in class curriculum for apprentice electricians. Today, the organization has provided curriculum and train-the-trainer instruction that has impacted over 350,000 apprentices to journeyman through local affiliated training centers.

Todd Stafford, Executive Director of the electrical training ALLIANCE noted, 'The electrical training ALLIANCE is proud to partner with Eaton. Our partnership, with Eaton as a platinum level partner, brings value, consistency and opportunity to the IBEW NECA electrical industry. Eaton is committed to training and excellence which fits the goals of NECA, IBEW and the electrical training ALLIANCE.'

Eaton's contributions and partnership with the electrical training ALLIANCE have enriched the electrical industry through training, safety and innovative solutions. Eaton offers many resources available to the Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committees (JATCs) and NECA contractors across the country.

For example, at the 2017 NECA Convention and Trade Show in Seattle, Eaton is providing electrical equipment specified in the Journey Level Craft Certification Booth. In order to complete Craft Certification Performance Evaluations, the JATC must have properly configured evaluation booths consisting of pre-installed equipment as well as tools and materials for the evaluation. For the event, Eaton is providing a service safety switch, transformer, circuit breaker and Bussmann™ series fused panelboards and fuse components, and combination motor starter, as well as Crouse-Hinds™ series electrical boxes and conduit fittings.

'For over 70 years, the electrical training ALLIANCE has been the only curriculum endorsed by the industry's largest labor organizations,' said Robert Stroescu, vice president, light commercial and construction programs, Eaton. 'We look forward to strengthening their curriculum through sharing our knowledge of electrical power management across industries and innovative research facilities to help develop the next generation of electrical professionals.'

Over the years, Eaton has assisted with developing technical curriculum materials and supplying product samples for hands-on-training as well as supplementing JATC instructors with industry experts.

Further, electrical training ALLIANCE members can continue to leverage Eaton's Experience Centers for electrical education with the unique ability to experience hands-on training in multiple application environments. The electrical training Alliance has worked with Eaton and used its Experience Centers for hands-on learning experiences for the last decade. To learn more, visit Eaton.com/training.
