eBay Inc : EBay Plans To Open Second Software Development Center In India

Web-retailing giant eBay Inc. (EBAY) Tuesday said it plans to open a new software development center in the southern Indian city of Bangalore, where it expects to hire up to 1,000 engineers over the next three years.
The Bangalore facility will develop software to support eBay's PayPal global payment platform and the Marketplaces business, it said in a statement.
EBay already has a global development center with more than 2,200 employees in Chennai, another south Indian city.
The San Jose, California-based company also runs its online retail operations in the country through a local unit.
