Ecolab, the global leader in water, hygiene and energy technologies and services, will serve as an official hygiene supplier for the 2013 Universiade Games, July 6-17, in Kazan, Russia. More than 100,000 student athletes, spectators and volunteers from more than 170 countries will visit Kazan for the Universiade.

"Ecolab will deploy its leading products and sales-and-service team to sporting venues and the student village in Kazan to advise and work with cleaning service providers to help ensure that the 2013 Universiade is a clean, safe and healthy event," said Vaclav Harant, Ecolab vice president and general manager, Russia and CIS. "Our on-site team will provide solutions for spotless sporting venues, safe food service and clean and healthy guest rooms."

During the 2013 Universiade Games, Ecolab is providing food safety, cleaning and sanitation products and equipment as well as training and on-site service to local partners.

The Universiade is the only summer multi-sport event in the world where students from around the globe compete athletically and academically. This international sporting and cultural festival is staged every two years in a different city.
