Ecopetrol : receives NYSE notice regarding the filing of annual report on Form 20-F for the year ended December 31, 2016

Ecopetrol S.A. (BVC: ECOPETROL; NYSE: EC) ("Ecopetrol" or the "Company) announces that received a notification letter from the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) stating that because of the filing of the annual report in the form 20-F to the Securities Exchange Commission (SEC) has complied with its reporting obligation, so the procedures set forth in Section 802.01E of the New York Stock Exchange Company Manual are no longer applicable to the company.
