EDF GROUP ACQUIRES PETROBRAS' 10% REMAINING STAKE IN USINA TERMOELÉTRICA NORTE FLUMINENSE S.A

Paris, 12 April 2014. EDF Group1, has completed yesterday the acquisition of the 10% remaining stake owned by Petróleo Brasileiro S.A. (Petrobras) in Usina Termoelétrica Norte Fluminense S.A. (NTF) and now has full ownership of the Company. There are no pending approvals from Brazilian Antitrust Authorities or by the Brazilian Electricity Regulatory Agency (ANEEL). 

Petrobras will continue to supply gas to NTF and will keep its longstanding partnership with EDF in Brazil and the rest of the world.

This transaction is in line with EDF's ambition to reinforce its presence in assets and countries where it can fully deploy its industrial strategy.

Usina Termoelétrica Norte Fluminense is a combined cycle, gas fired power plant located in Macaé, state of Rio de Janeiro.
