Educational Development Corporation is a publishing company specializing in books for children. The Company is the owner and publisher of Kane Miller Books; Learning Wrap-Ups, maker of educational manipulatives; and SmartLab Toys, maker of STEAM-based toys and games. It is also a distributor of Usborne Publishing Limited (Usborne) childrens books. Its segments include PaperPie and Publishing. The PaperPie segment markets its products through independent brand partners using a combination of Internet and direct sales, home shows and book fairs. Publishing segment markets its products to retail accounts, which include book, school supply, toy and gift stores, museums, trade and specialty wholesalers, through commissioned sales representatives and our internal tele-sales group. Its products are sold via 4,000 retail outlets. The Company and Usborne products are offered by independent brand partners who hold book showings through social media, book fairs with schools and public libraries.
