The Texas Association of Mexican American Chambers of Commerce (TAMACC) will award El Paso Electric (EPE) with the 2016 Corporate Hispanic Business Advocate of the Year award at the 41Annual Convention and Business Expo in El Paso, Texas. Nine Texas businesses, individuals and organizations with will also be recognized at the TAMACC Annual Convention held on August 4 through August 6, 2016.

'One of the most rewarding, important, and established traditions of the TAMACC Annual Convention, is to select, recognize, and celebrate the accomplishments and contributions of small businesses, Hispanic Chambers, and Government and Corporate Advocates,' said Samuel Guzman, TAMACC Chairman. 'This year's recipients are again among the best of the best and we ask that you please join us in congratulating them.'

In a press release issued by TAMACC, EPE was recognized for the following:

El Paso Electric understands the importance of helping the economy by sustaining programs like the renewable energy and most of all how using Small Business, Women Owned, minority and HUB Certified companies as vendors gives back to the community. Each year, TAMACC Members nominate individuals and companies from their community for these prestigious awards.
