Sunday, July 10 has been designated National Lineworker Appreciation Day. El Paso Electric (EPE), along with The Edison Electric Institute (EEI) and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW), recognize all lineworkers as they risk their lives each day in order to ensure reliable and safe electricity service. We thank all EPE lineworkers!

'EPE's territory encompasses numerous cities in two states and our lineworkers represent the highly skilled workers this region has to offer,' says Mary Kipp, Chief Executive Officer. 'We are very proud to have our lineworkers be a key part of our team and we thank them for their daily contributions to the region.'

With more than 180 lineworkers on the front lines and in an area of more than 10,000 square miles, our lineworkers work tirelessly to keep our energy grid working. This often involves certain risks when working in close proximity to live wires, but it does not deter our lineworkers from maintaining service to our customers.

'Our lineworkers' commitment to the company never ceases to amaze me,' says Steve Buraczyk, Senior Vice President of Operations. 'Keeping the lights on is a tough job and our lineworkers display their dedication to that end every single day.'
