GRAPH EXPO, CHICAGO, Sept. 15, 2015 - Hatteras Inc., one of Southeast and Central Michigan's leading diversified printing companies, will fuel its growth and streamline business management workflows across its six manufacturing and Customer Service locations by implementing the new EFIMidmarket Productivity Suite MIS platform. The new suite purchase, which was announced today during the Graph Expo 2015 tradeshow, will feature EFI Pace™ MIS software in an end-to-end workflow using EFI's portfolio of industry-leading business and production workflows.

Implementing the new Midmarket Productivity Suite is an evolution from EFI PrintSmith™ business management software used at Dearborn, Mich.-based Hatteras, which started as a quick printing firm 37 years ago. According to Phil Kitkowski, Vice President of Operations of the family-owned company, the new Midmarket Productivity Suite will ensure that the knowledgeable staff at Hatteras can maximize their expertise by spending less time tracking and managing administrative tasks.

"We have produced almost 100,000 job tickets on PrintSmith software and it was a great purchase for us when our company was smaller," said Kitkowski. "But our team members have more tasks to handle today than ever before, and individual talent, no matter how good, isn't infinitely scalable. This new MIS upgrade will help empower our team members to better manage the full range of services Hatteras offers."

The suite's comprehensive tools for estimating, scheduling, accounting for a wide range of print services suits Hatteras' market position as a trusted, all-in-one provider for print marketing and fulfillment. On top of the six million digital press impressions Hatteras runs each month, the company also offers wide-format inkjet and high-volume sheetfed and web offset printing and binding. Plus, it operates a turnkey warehousing and kit packing operation, as well as multiple on-site corporate print centers.

"Hatteras is very automated within each of our service operations, but we want to connect the islands of automation we have presently to bring more cohesive efficiencies to the entire company," Kitkowski noted. "With the new workflow suite from EFI we will be able to manage the business as one operation and not as multiple manufacturing lines, further improving the level of service we provide to our customers. Plus, this will finally allow us to connect Operations and Accounting in one seamless package, something that has become an increasing issue for us recently."

"EFI's software portfolio provides a comprehensive set of business and production workflows helping thousands of family-owned businesses generate additional revenues and enhance efficiencies," said Jeffrey White, general manager, small and medium business products, EFI Productivity Software. "We are happy to help a valued, long-time customer like Hatteras profit from smarter, state-of-the-art workflow management with our newest Midmarket Productivity Suite offering."

Printing and packaging professionals across the globe rely on EFI's portfolio of workflow products to manage their businesses and become more streamlined, efficient, informed and profitable. For more information, visit www.efi.com or contact 800-875-7117.
