The Networks of transmission system owner for electricity and gas (ENTSO-e et ENTSO-g) have released their joint set of scenarios for consultation.

For the first time, they combined their efforts and expertise to develop scenarios to assist with decision making for future infrastructure investment needs. The joint scenarios outline three markedly different possible paths towards a low-carbon energy system in line with EU targets.

A new version of the Ten Year Network Development Plan (TYNDP) based on these energy scenarios will be published by the end of 2018. Moreover, in 2019, Elia's next Federal Development Plan 2020-2030 will be submitted for approval by the Minister of Energy. While drafting this plan, Elia will take into account the TYNDP scenarios, among others.

In this framework, we invite all stakeholders and interested parties to join the ENTSO-e's consultation on the TYNDP scenarios by following this link: http://tyndp.entsoe.eu/tyndp2018/

Please note that this consultation runs from the 2nd of October 2017 to the 11th of November 2017.
