Last week, RSA, The Security Division of EMC (NYSE: EMC), held its first annual RSA® Global Summit bringing together customers, partners and security experts from around the world to exchange ideas and techniques to help ensure a safer digital world.  With almost 30 years of industry expertise, RSA's portfolio of products, services, and intelligence data is better able to address today's security challenges than any other company in the industry.  RSA's Global Summit provided the opportunity to share and discuss cutting edge knowledge and advanced approaches to cyber security.

The inaugural event assembled more than 800 attendees and featured 56 general sessions, deep-dive educational sessions, and hands-on-labs covering a variety of topics including threat readiness, incident response, identity and user access, fraud and risk intelligence, governance risk and compliance and many more.  Opening keynotes by RSA Executive Chairman Arthur Coviello and RSA Senior Vice President Amit Yoran set the tone for the event discussing both vision and execution of RSA's Intelligence Driven Security strategy. Additional keynotes were given by entrepreneur Robert Herjavec, President and CEO of the Council of Cyber Security Jane Holl Lute, and NASA Astronaut Alan Bean.

As part of the week, RSA also hosted a special benefit concert at the historic Lincoln Theatre featuring performers Matt Goss and Franky Perez.  In addition to the entertainment, a donation of $135,000 was provided to the Boulder Crest Retreat for Military and Veteran Wellness on behalf of RSA and sponsors.  For those who would still like to support this worthy charity, RSA is continuing to accepting donations via text message -- Text HEAL to 80077 to donate $10.

Plan now to attend next year's RSA Global Summit October 21-23, 2015 at the McCormick Center in Chicago, Illinois.

RSA EXECUTIVE QUOTE:

Art Coviello, Executive Chairman, RSA, The Security Division of EMC

"RSA has a long tradition of celebrating its customers throughout the year at various events held all over the world.  The inaugural RSA Global Summit was the first time we were able to bring together customers from around the globe to discuss our entire product portfolio, intelligence driven strategy and the current state of security all under one roof.  We as an industry continue to face challenges navigating today's ever-changing IT landscape and it was an incredible experience to discuss and tackle these challenges together as one community, in one place, and at one time.  I look forward to continuing this new tradition."
