Dubai, UAE: Osman Sultan, CEO, du, addressed the GSMA Mobile 360 Series Middle East during GITEX 2014.

Delivering the keynote speech on the first day of Mobile 360 Series, Sultan said that "smart living has played a key role through generations. Only the definition of 'smart' has changed as enablers have moved from 'unshared certainties' of the past, where each industry functioned independently, to the integrated world of today, where the customer is king."

He predicted that: "Tomorrow's innovation will be driven by the necessity and pressure to change according to customer demands. An environment for exploring inquiries and accidental discoveries will be the governing factors for driving economic activity in the future."

In order for this to be commercially viable, "the need of the hour is to host dialogue between telcos, to build business models and join hands beyond geographical boundaries to work in the mobile ad revenue space."

The GSMA Mobile 360 Series - Middle East conference is exploring key challenges and opportunities applicable in all markets. Now in its second year, the conference is co-located with GITEX and provides an opportunity to distinguished regional industry stakeholders from both developed and emerging markets to share their experiences and further the development of mobile broadband.
