Etisalat to participate in Tawdheef Abu Dhabi 2015

Etisalat announced today that it will participate in Tawdheef Abu Dhabi 2015, Abu Dhabi's leading career fair, to offer career opportunities to large pools of qualified candidates in the UAE.

Etisalat's participation in the three-day fair, starting today at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, serves as a channel for the telecom giant to illustrate benefits and future prospects of employment in the organisation. Etisalat will offer positions in engineering, marketing, sales and project departments.

In line with Etisalat's commitment to the UAE government's Emiratisation efforts and to support the Absher initiative, the company has adopted a multi-faceted approach for employment fairs. Besides face-to-face meetings with job seekers, information sharing on available vacancies and screening candidates, Etisalat officials will also show case its training and development programs to attract new talent.

Younis Al Nimr, Chief Human Resource Officer at Etisalat, said, "Etisalat's strategy to actively participate in career fairs over the past years aligns with our objective to identify the best talent, engage with real people, not resumes, and encourage Emiratis to play a strong role in shaping the ICT future of this country."

Emiratis currently occupy nearly 80 percent of senior management positions in Etisalat and around 59 percent middle management roles. Eight hundred and thirty Emiratis work as technicians, constituting 45 percent of the company's total technician staff. Seventy seven percent of sales staff is comprised of Emirati workforce - a total of 597 employees.

Importantly, 710 female employees constitute an encouraging 72 percent of all females employed in Etisalat.

Etisalat has achieved 47 percent Emiratisation level due to its concerted efforts in recruiting and progressing local talent through a series of focused career training and leadership programs.
