EMIS Health has completed the rollout of EMIS Web to GPs in England and won further new contracts in community, child and mental health (CCMH) and Secondary & Specialist Care.

A trading update released by EMIS Group for the six months ended 30 June 2015 showed that EMIS Web for GPs was live in 4,431 practices, an increase of 168 since December 2014. The roll out programme in England is complete, while in Wales over 95% of the Group's practices have moved to EMIS Web.

Extensive CCMH activity included not only contract wins but also significant on-schedule implementations. Over 2,200 new EMIS Web users were trained, bringing the total number of CCMH users of the system to nearly 12,500.

Community Pharmacy maintained its market share, and prepared to pilot ProScript Connect, its next generation dispensary pharmacy management product in the final quarter of 2015.

In Secondary & Specialist Care, there was good progress in delivering major contracts, including Unscheduled Care across Wales, and a strong pipeline is expected to deliver further contract wins in the second half of the year.

The trading update follows the recent rebrand of all of the Group's healthcare software business under the single name of EMIS Health.

Chris Spencer, Chief Executive of EMIS Group, said: "While the NHS in England has identified the need to create £22bn in efficiency savings to fill a £30bn gap between likely demand and funding by 2020, Tim Kelsey, National Director for Patients and Information at NHS England, has announced that the use of digital technology can create savings of £8.3bn to £13.7bn a year by then. We continue to regard EMIS Group as uniquely placed to help deliver those savings and remain confident in our outlook for the remainder of the year."
