Appointment of Chief Executive Officer

The Board of EMIS Group plc ("EMIS Group" or "the Group"), the UK's leading supplier of clinical software and related services to GPs and other healthcare practitioners and a major supplier to high street pharmacies, is pleased to announce that, following an extensive search process involving internal and external candidates, Chris Spencer, who has been EMIS's interim Chief Executive Officer since 21 March 2013, has been offered the role on a permanent basis with immediate effect.

Commenting on Chris Spencer's full time appointment, Mike O'Leary, Chairman of EMIS, said:
