GPSoC contract extension update

EMIS Group plc ("the Group") today announces an update on the GP Systems of Choice ("GPSoC") framework renewal.

Consistent with  the Group's  expectations as reported in its preliminary results  on 21 March 2012, the Group  has received a letter confirming the extension of the term of the existing Call Off Agreement in favour of Egton Medical Information Systems Limited ("EMIS") dated 28 March 2011 by NHS CfH under GPSoC to 31 December 2013 with the option for the counterparty to increase the Call Off Extension Period by a further month at a time, up to a maximum of a further three months in aggregate. This is to ensure continuity of GPSoC Services and to transition to new arrangements.

The parties to the Call Off Agreement, and their respective contractual rights and obligations, remain otherwise unchanged except by mutual agreement.  The dissolution of Primary Care Trusts (PCTs), from 1 April 2013, does, however, mean that Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs), or other organisations on their behalf, will now liaise with EMIS instead of PCTs.

Further announcements will be made regarding GPSoC as and when appropriate.
