IT manager Tony Reilly Cooper has won top prize in a new
award scheme for users of the EMIS Web online Support
Centre.
Tony, from Priorslegh Medical Centre in Cheshire, set the
record during April - June 2012 for the largest number of
quality posts, discussions and answers combined on the
Support Centre, which is designed to encourage EMIS Web
users to share knowledge online.
He was presented with his prize - an iPad - by Charlotte
Quashie, EMIS Support Centre Manager in a special ceremony
at the medical centre in Poynton. Tony submitted more than
160 posts on the forum over the three month period, sharing
documents, templates and tips with other EMIS Web users.
The local PCT chose the practice to pilot EMIS Web and they
went live with the transformational healthcare system in
January 2012. Since then, according to Tony, "The online
forum has been invaluable in answering my own questions,
while allowing me to pass on new and different ways of
working with EMIS Web to others."
He added: "The support forum actually made me realise how
much I knew about the system. You don't realise until you
put it into practice and the forum is a great way of
helping people get to know EMIS Web. I would recommend to
anyone who uses the familiarisation service or who has just
gone live with the system to check out the forum!"
The EMIS Support
Centre enables users to receive quick and detailed
responses to queries from EMIS Web support consultants,
while swapping hits and tips with other users. Users can
also access a wide range of training materials, news and
features. Click
