JOPLIN, MO - July 24, 2015 - Mr. Jeff Westfall has been promoted to Director of Operations for The Empire District Electric Company. In this position, he is responsible for overseeing the Company's Eastern Division Line Operations, Construction Design, Substation Maintenance and Community Relations activities.
Mr. Westfall is a graduate of Galena High School. He began his career at Empire in the Building Services area in December 1989. Positions he has held include Warehouseman, Laborer, Groundman, Journeyman Lineman and Line Foreman. Mr. Westfall has 23 years of experience in the Company's Line Operations area, including his most recent position, Manager of Aurora Line Operations.
Prior to joining Empire, he was employed at Midway Sheet Metal in Joplin.
