The Empire District Electric Company (NYSE:EDE) Board of Directors has elected Mr. Dale Harrington, Corporate Secretary, effective May 1, 2015, replacing Ms. Janet Watson who retired April 30, 2015. He is responsible for all aspects of the corporate secretary function. Mr. Harrington also continues as Director of Investor Relations where he is responsible for all investor and shareholder communications and contact, including press releases, earnings calls and proxy preparation. He is also responsible for the administration of the Company’s SEC reporting functions.

Mr. Harrington joined the Company in June 1989 and has held various positions in Auditing, Human Resources and Financial Services.

He received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration—Accounting at Missouri Southern State University.
