Bogotá D.C., March 30, 2017.The General Shareholders' Meeting of Empresa Energía de Bogotá (EEB), holding company of Grupo Energía de Bogotá, approved last Thursday the positive results of the company in 2016, among which it is worth highlighting a net profit of $1.3 billion, which represents a 27.8% growth when compared to 2015.

In regards to dividend distribution, the Meeting ruled on the dividend sharing amounting to $908,936 million, which involves the payment of 99 pesos per share to over 3 thousand shareholders, an increase of 303% with regards to 2016. Upon normalization of the payment of advance dividends carried out in 2010 and 2014, the company reported record-setting dividends for FY 2016.

Regarding these results, Astrid Álvarez, EEB president said:'2016 was an excellent year for Energía de Bogotá, because apart from achieving great financial results, we designed a powerful and challenging strategic plan with which we'll become a multi-Latin leader in energy and gas'.

Furthermore, the consolidated EBITDA margin of Grupo Energía de Bogotá at the end of 2016 amounted for $2.612 trillion, a 44.4% increase compared to 2015.
